Home Espresso Machines:
- Wipe Down Counter Area.
- Wipe Down the Espresso Machine.
- Wipe Down, Espresso Grinder.
- Remove drip tray and clean well.
Note: Each manufacturer has unique cleaning requirements. Refer to Your owner’s manual for instructions. The cleaning and maintanence procedures are relatively simple when compared to commercial machines.
Commercial Machines:
- Wipe Down Counter Area.
- Wipe Down the Espresso Machine.
- Wipe Down, Espresso Grinder.
- Remove drip tray and clean well.
- Place 1/2 teaspoon coffee oil remover such as PuroCaf into drain tray and back flush with hot water.
- check for water leaks around the drain hose and drain tray.
- Remove showerhead screen, screw and any other parts from the group. Place loose items in a metal basket and soak in a sink filled with hot water and two tablespoons of coffee detergent. Soak overnight. Scrub with a brush. rinse in hot hater then in cold water.
- Remove metal filter baskets from hand filters. Use one hand filter with the blank filter and place 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of coffee detergent in the filter. Place hand into the group. Backflush should take 30 sec. Repeats four or five times until water becomes clear. Do each group.
- clean and rinse dump box.
- Clean plastic hopper and grinder with a soft and moist bar towel. Clean doser with soft brush.
